A Tywyn-based photographer has been recognised with a Gold Award from the National Photographic Society for this tranquil image (pictured right), that he captured of Aberdyfi beach.

Tim Wilde, a photographer from Tywyn (pictured left), was awarded the accolade of Gold Award for Digital Art in the National Photographic Society’s July competition.

The National Photographic Society hosts monthly competitions to give photographers of both the professional and semi-professional variety the chance to have their work recognised and assessed by judges.

Tim said: “To be awarded a Gold Award for a Digital Art image is a wonderful achievement and one I have been working towards having obtained many golds for landscape, fine art and wedding images. This award is very special, especially as the picture was taken on a local beach. Thank you to the NPS for my award.”
