Madam,

Too many, unnecessary tears are being shed at Bodlondeb care home as residents leave.

We who have lived, worked, formed an unbreakable bond, will never come to terms with Ceredigion councillors and their recommendation to evacuate vulnerable residents for the greater good.

I pity those who are making the decision.

I will find it difficult to forgive, but I must.

You, in the Cabinet, know what you must do.

One princess was moved from her home at Bodlondeb. She passed away in a mansion, six miles away from her extended family. I will say a prayer for her in St Anne’s Church on Christmas Eve, now I can see Room 41 empty. She might be only one drop in the ocean but without that drop there is no ocean. RIP.

Yours etc,

Dai Thomas, handyman, driver, gardener, friend of Bodlondeb, Llwyn yr Eos, Penparcau, Aberystwyth.
