Some of the world’s best mountain bikers will be heading to the Dyfi Valley this weekend for the Red Bull Hardline event.
Hailed as one of the toughest downhill mountain bike races in the world, the event returns to the hills of Dyfi Valley for a sixth time this Saturday and Sunday.
The 2018 edition saw home favourite Gee Atherton taking home the trophy for the first time after a nail-biting final in front 3,000 spectators.
Bernard Kerr came in second with Charlie Hatton in third.
This year’s roster boasts an impressive 29 riders, 12 of which will be making their debut in Dinas Mawddwy, including UK dirt-jumper and slopestyle specialist Matt Jones.
Now slated as one of the best up-and-coming slopestyle riders in Europe, Matt Jones is sure to be a crowd favourite at this year’s event.
His twin, Jono Jones will also be competing adding another case of sibling rivalry to this year’s competition alongside the Atherton brothers.
This is the sixth time the event has been held in Dinas Mawddwy and is hailed as one of the toughest downhill mountain bike races in the world.
A huge screen will be in the event village for the public to watch the race on both Saturday and Sunday.
