CONTRACTORS have been called in to repair the Aberystwyth town clock which is stuck on British Summer Time.
The clock along with all others around the UK was supposed to be put back an hour in October to mark the end of British Summer Time.
Something went wrong and the Aberystwyth clock has been running an hour fast ever since.
The council said the problem was discovered in November when the clock was serviced and the authority was now trying to find a solution.
A spokesperson said: “Aberystwyth town clock was serviced in November 2018 and no issues were identified at the time.
“Unfortunately, the clockface is currently showing British Summer Time despite the main control unit showing the correct time.
“Despite trying to rectify the problem, it appears that there is still a technical issue with the clock.
“The council will be contacting the service company as soon as possible in order for this to be repaired and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
