Traffic delays are in store at an Aberystwyth village as two new sets of traffic lights have been installed on the A44 today (Monday).

Traffic lights have gone up in Llanbadarn Fawr just past Anthony Motors to the turn-off for the village, and another set is just past Cambrian Printers on the bend heading out of town.

According to the Ceredigion County Council website, the first set of lights, on Quebec Road, Llanbadarn Fawr, will be in place from today for 12 days, until 28 August, with two-way lights. It is to allow for the installation of a zebra crossing by the Welsh Government.

However, at the time of writing, stop and go boards are being used.

And the second set on the A44 Clydfan, Llanbadarn Fawr, will be in place for five days from today until Friday, 21 August.

Traffic will be directed via stop and go boards, and it is to allow the installation of two drainage gullies by Forest on behalf of the Welsh Government.
