With regards the news item last week about the traffic problems when approaching Rhydeinon Recycling Centre, near Llanarth, it was not pointed out clearly that this situation has only arisen since the site has cut its opening days.

Previously, with access every day, the attendance was well spread out, but now there is a rush at weekends with so much DIY, and frantic lawn mowing, hedge cutting, etc. resulting in extra traffic. The good weather is sure to have increased extra trips, particularly with access to single-axle trailers only.

Should the number of open days now be reconsidered and increased, as the current timetable obviously isn’t working?
