TRAFFIC wardens will be back on the streets of Ceredigion this week.
In its ‘Roadmap’ for the residents of Ceredigion explaining how and when lockdown will be gradually released Ceredigion council states that the reintroduction of on-street civil parking enforcement will take place in the week commencing Monday 6 July.
The county council told the Cambrian News: “The activities of the Parking Services team have reflected restrictions and other considerations arising during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
“Parking officers will be deployed on a prioritised basis where the need is deemed most and where they are likely to have a positive influence on parking matters. The focus of activities will continue to be on retaining safe access.
“As always, and as part of Caru Ceredigion, we would encourage all drivers to park in a responsible and compliant way giving thought and consideration to pedestrians, including those with mobility issues, and other road users.
From 13 July, the council will hold a four-weekly review of the activities that have been undertaken as part of the Covid-19 services roadmap, and the effect these have had on the level of travel, people in towns and on the number of cases of coronavirus in the county.
