PRESIDENT Jacqui Thomas welcomed everyone to the first meeting of the New Year and was pleased to see Beryl Land back after her stay in hospital. Jacqui announced the names of everyone on the new committee and welcomed her sister Eileen who was over from France on a visit. She went through the federation newsletter and urged members to attend the Boccia day at the Leisure Centre on 23 January. She went through the December events which seemed to be a long time ago, namely the Christmas dinner at Yr Hebog, Beddgelert; the carol service at the Cathedral in Bangor at which member Elsbeth Thomas did a reading; and the tree festival in St John’s Church. The group then had an interesting talk on the history of Porthmadog and Enid Owen warmly thanked the speaker. The next meeting is on 2 February when all are welcome to come and listen to a talk on beauty treatments and tips.
