Madam,

Recently Memorama, Aberaeron’s amateur dramatic society, performed George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion at the Memorial Hall for three nights.

Despite the notoriously challenging difficulties that Shaw presents even to the most accomplished professional companies, eg long, verbose, repetitive speeches, not only did Memorama emerge unscathed but triumphant!

This was their 34th production, the most recent in a long line of modern whodunnits, adaptations of popular TV shows and musicals. The variety of the productions is quite remarkable.

There is a core of long–serving regulars comprising cast, crew and backstage volunteers who are now encouraging youngsters to get involved so the future of the company seems assured.

The town is grateful for their hard work, dedication and the pleasure which they bring. We look forward to their next production which is in the spring.

Yours etc, Kay Pascoe, Berllan Deg, Aberaeron.
