Madam,

Re the letter last week regarding the old Arriva bus depot in Park Avenue, Aberystwyth (‘Turn redundant depot into skittles alley with café’). Here’s a thought. What about using it as regular, local market for the vast number of self-supporting people such as local farmers and local crafters? We already have a farmers’ market, so why not combine that with various crafters who struggle to find outlets for their beautiful and unique wares.

In our opinion there is a big need for this to offer something to the customers looking for something different. If you restrict the sup-pliers to local people, you will be helping them to be self-sufficient and keeping it fresh for the tourists who we feel sure will be making their way to our lovely town due to the new complex of M&S and Tesco.
