Madam,

You kindly published a letter I wrote about this subject some time ago, but now that these parking charges are definitely going ahead in Tywyn, according to your article in this week’s Cambrian News of 18 July, may I repeat the suggestion I made previously.

Surely residents should not have to pay this charge, as the stone notice there clearly states to whom the prom was given, but we could all be supplied stickers for our cars that would show we are residents and therefore exempt. How much of the charges will be lost in paying traffic wardens to enforce them?

Motorhomes are already parking overnight in spite of notices prohibiting it, but no-one enforces this, a local councillor informed me, so wardens will be needed.

Yours etc, Pamela Worsey, 3 Talyllyn Drive, Tywyn.
