PUPILS at an Aberystwyth secondary school have returned to class after being evacuated this morning following a suspected gas leak.
Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig was evacuated this morning with pupils being sent to 'nearby facilities' as a precautionary measure.
Contractors were brought in to test for gas and confirmed the school was safe.
In a statement, Ysgol Penweddig said: "Further to gas testing, the contractors have confirmed that the building and classrooms are safe.
"As a result, pupils will return to the school building and lessons will continue. Year 12 and 13 Parents’ evening will be held this evening."
