Madam,

Glantwymyn Health Centre was a brilliant practice for our family growing up over the last 25 years. Losing it is a blow. Both the GP and district nurse services there directed me in good time to curative surgery for double pelvic cancer and helped speed a long and still ongoing recovery.

However, since I gave up my car earlier this year, I have preferred to go to the practice in Machynlleth anyway. Why? Because thanks to Paul and the other drivers at Lloyds coaches’ bookabus, we have a reliable bus service covering much of the upper Dyfi Valley catchment area including Darowen and as far up as Dinas Mawddwy.

Please everyone pass this information on to those who need better access to health and council services in Machynlleth but might not know about it.

You just have to book with Lloyds in Machynlleth up to two hours before the set time for the bus.

The more we use it the more chance to extend the service later into the afternoon not to mention help the climate. I now wish I had used it even when I had a car.

Yours etc, Geoffrey Carter, Aberangell.
