The 13th annual Amnesty International benefit evening Making a Song and Dance of It at Rhosygilwen, near Cilgerran, on Saturday, 16 November, promises to be a night to remember.

Introducing the evening will be Mererid Hopwood, the first woman to win the Bardic Chair at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.

The audience can then sing along with some of the cast of Rhosygilwen’s summer production of West Side Story, including Crymych soprano Jess Robinson who plays Maria.

The MC will be singing and playing his Celtic bouzouki while back by popular demand are the popular 1960s-inspired Hornettes.

Also appearing are Lundy, a new locally-based band consisting of Richard Turner (keyboards, vocals and songwriter), Will Cobbett (guitar, bass and vocals), Kev Griffiths (guitar, bass and vocals) and Gurney Peterson (drums, sound and technical wizardry).

Doors are open from 7pm and the evening starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced at £12, can be bought in advance from www.rhosygilwen.co.uk or 01559 370991. Alternatively, you can buy on the door at £15.
