A TYWYN vicar was one of 40,000 runners to take on the challenge of the London Marathon on Sunday.
Rev Richard Vroom, a member of Bro Dysynni Running Club, was raising money for St Cadfan’s Church’s Repair Fund and completed the London Marathon in 5 hours, 10 minutes and 35 seconds.
“I am really pleased with my time,” said Richard.
“This is now my fifth marathon and my best time so far. I managed to stick to my running plan and really enjoyed the whole experience in London.
“I would like to thank everyone so much for their support and their donations so far for St Cadfan’s Repair Fund.
"Donations will still be gratefully received. People can still sponsor me. It will all go towards St Cadfan’s Church."
