Madam,
I lived in both Aberdyfi and Tywyn 20 years ago, joined both fire stations and took part in a social life, ranging from pub dominoes for the Brit and singing in the Côr Bro Dysynni to cooking food in the White Hall, Tywyn.
Many friends have been seen on this visit including the barman at the Peniarth Arms, who remembered me after all this time.
Have I seen change? Of course. No banks in Tywyn any more and now parking fees on its seafront.
Pauline Thomas and I will return to the Peniarth Arms where we stayed and again visit my old stomping grounds. Many many thanks to all the folk living in the second best part of Wales. I say that respectfully because l live in Cardiff, which isn’t bad but the prize must go to the Rhondda, a beautiful and historical part of our country’s social and culture heritage.
Yours etc, James Rides, Cardiff.
