Pupils at Ysgol Glan y Mor have helped give visitors to Pwllheli a colourful welcome this summer.

Along with the help of the school’s head of art, Carys Owen, pupils have been busy painting giant letters which spelling Pwllheli which will be placed at the town’s bus station.

The lettering is part of a wider project initiated by Pwllheli town councillor, Ffiona Adams, who has been hard at work over the past few months on a project to clean-up and spruce the bus station in the town.

Cllr Adams explained: “The bus station is what many people who travel into Pwllheli see first, and the state of the station as it is now does not make much of an impression on visitors to our beautiful town. The bus shelters are looking filthy and very sorry for themselves and the surrounding area just needs some tender loving care to make it look a little more welcoming.

“I hope to get the area cleaned up, looking more welcoming, brighter and flowers hopefully planted around the bus station.”
