A couple from Aberdyfi have condemned fly-tipping in Pennal forest, near Machynlleth, as “disgusting”.
Phil and Katie Morgan were out walking in the forest on Thursday, 30 January, when they found rubbish in three different locations.
Phil told the Cambrian News he thought that the owner of the rubbish may recognise the dumped waste and rectify the situation.
He said: “It is absolutely disgusting that someone should think of doing this and get away with it.
“It is simply a matter of someone avoiding paying disposal fees at the tip.
“It looked like a bathroom refurbishment, a caravan disposal and a garden shed clear-out.”
He also said the closure of Potters Yard in Machynlleth may be contributing to the fly-tipping issue in the area.
The couple said they reported the fly-tipping to Gwynedd Council via its website.
