Madam,
I would like to support and congratulate Denise Bevington on her efforts to preserve Tywyn’s Royal Mail sorting office, the loss of which would be another nail in the coffin of our town’s services, hav-ing already lost banking and courthouse facilities and the Tourist Information Centre.
Our councillors, elected to represent us, are having to use rented accommodation in a local school due to the closure of our council offices along with the council chamber. Without some sort of stand from the public we must ask ourselves what next? Our friends will support us in the en-deavour to protect our meagre services and I urge the public to get involved and support Denise for her good work by initially signing the petition. I also commend the Royal Mail employees on their stance, be-cause long-term the jobs will not be held by Tywyn people and we find the whole situation intolerable.
Yours etc
George and Jacki Buckley
Tywyn.
