Madam,

You covered in last week’s Cambrian News the tragic accident on Llanbedr hill. This has often been identified as a very perilous route and the only one that people can take.

I believe we should press all the key local institutions whose users are in danger until we get a satisfactory change – lights at the bridge and a yellow painted pedestrian walkway up the hill.

The dangers here have long been forecast and you would have expected community action by St Peter’s Church congregation, the Community Council, the pub Hafan Artro, the CEO of Shell Island, and the owner of Maes Artro

Plus of course the police and the Highways Agency for Wales. May we press them to take this up.

Yours etc, Graham Tottle, Llanbedr.
