THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for high winds across most of Wales tomorrow.
The warning, which runs from 8am on Wednesday until 4am on Thursday, will see heavy gusts of wind sweep over the country, with higher ground warned to expect winds of between 65 and 70mph.
In a statement, the Met Office’s chief forecaster said: "Gusts of 65 to 70 mph are expected along exposed coasts and over high ground such as the mountains of Wales, the moors of south-west England and the Pennines.
"Gusts of 50mph are likely more widely.
"Winds will gradually ease from the west during the night, finally easing from the far south-east of England around dawn on Thursday.
"Outbreaks of rain, some of it heavy, will accompany the strong winds and will add to the difficult driving conditions."
There is also a yellow weather warning for rain in parts of northern England tomorrow where about 100mm could fall on higher ground.
