Madam,

As members of the South Meirionnydd Older People’s Forum in Tywyn, we wish to thank the committee for making sure that over 50 retired people had an amazing time at Neuadd Pendre on Wednesday, 7 February.

The room was set out well, a lovely buffet provided, hot and cold drinks and also a fine local band played for us. Some even took to the dance floor too.

The committee led by chairman Arthur Caley and secretary George Buckley were successful in obtaining a grant from Age Cymru to be used to give older residents, especially those who don’t get out as often as they would wish, the chance to get out and have a lovely afternoon together.

We have only recently joined the above group but recommend others come along too. We have made many new friends and thoroughly enjoy the regular speakers, who are able to provide us with very interesting information so broadening our knowledge.

So well done to the organisers and to Age Cymru for for making sure we had a lovely afternoon together.
