Welsh Water is working to fix two leaks in the Aberystwyth area causing no water or low pressure for several residents.

The first leak is reported at Llanbadarn Fawr, believed to be near the Texaco filling station along the A44.

Welsh Water says: We are aware of the leak in Llanbadarn Fawr, the repair is being planned. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The estimated completion of the repair work is Friday at midday.

A second issue affecting water supplies in Bow Street is also under investigation, with an estimated completion of work by 4pm today (Wednesday).

Several residents in the Bow Street area have received a text message apologising and stating water pressure should return later today.

Welsh Water added: "We're aware that customers in this area may have no water or low pressure.

"We expect all supplies to be fully restored by later this afternoon."
