Madam,

Jean Miles, Harlech, in her letter (Cambrian News, last week) is glad to see demolition work on the derelict St David’s Hotel finally commence.

Interestingly she makes no reference as to whether or not another predominant eyesore in Harlech should be demolished or does she take pride in the remains of the subjugation of the Welsh being allowed to stand as a reminder of Norman oppression over the native people?

An eyesore is an eyesore no matter how old or historical it is even if it is listed.

Yours etc, Paul Evans, Bro Hywyn, Aberdaron.
