Statkraft is trying to desecrate our superb Welsh landscapes with a gigantic wind farm at Lluest y Gwynt, Ponterwyd. They will sit just north of the A44 route used by visitors to Wales. What sort of welcome in the hillsides is that?

The road from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth has already got far more than its fair share of wind farms. The sporadic electricity is not even needed in Wales, which already generates more than three times what it uses. It will need even more ugly pylons across our beautiful hills. Statkraft is owned by the Norwegian Government, so why don’t they put their wind turbines in Norway instead of wrecking Wales? Readers need to write to their politicians to vociferously oppose this.
