I am saddened to see that the council has not listened to the comments and pleas of writers to this page about decorative planting in Aberystwyth.

I have waited before writing to see if winter bedding and spring bulbs would be planted. My sense is that it is now too late in the season for planting.

How uplifting it would have been to have glorious, cheerful spring displays. This would have been a positive message for the well being of Ceredigion.Also a warm welcome to visitors in the area.

Let’s hope that the council truly listen and give us summer displays next year. It is disheartening when beds are left empty, litter strewn, weedy or turfed over.

Was the use of wildflower seed even considered for biodiversity, our pollinators and our pleasure?
