TV PRESENTER Iolo Williams and The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales will attempt to create a new world record to celebrate 20 years of marine conservation in New Quay, Ceredigion.
The record attempt will aim to create the world’s largest human superpod in the shape of a dolphin on Saturday, 24 September, on the main beach at New Quay Harbour at 11am.
The Wildlife Trust is advising any potential record breakers to arrive by 10.30am.
To make their human superpod look like a dolphin they also ask that you wear a blue or grey top, dolphin masks will be provided on the day.
Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre was established in 1996 as a non-profit organisation dedicated to conserving the marine life of Cardigan Bay through research and education.
In April 2015, CBMWC became part of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (WTSWW) and are delivering the Trust’s Living Seas Programme.
Iolo said: “I am delighted to be launching the 20-year celebrations and World Record Attempt with The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales. The charity manages some of the region’s precious wild places and their Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre (CBMWC) is the focus for marine conservation in the area."
