DARNING disciples in Llwyngwril have set their sights on next year’s yarn-bombing theme.
The village has been attracting visitors for the last two years thanks to the weird and wacky woollen designs created by local residents.
The yarn-bombing initiative has drawn plenty of press attention, especially when its sheep dog theme coincided with the international trails in Tywyn last September, and has even been on national television when Julie Walters visited Llwyngwril last year.
In their latest announcement, the yarn-bombing committee, who use all profits collected from donations to support the village’s Canolfan, have announced their theme for 2017.
Pat Griffiths, a spokesperson for the yarn-bombers, was excited for the year ahead.
She said: In 2017 we are adopting the Snowdonia ‘Myths and Legends’ theme.
“All the team are very excited and will be furiously knitting and crocheting over the next few months to enable the items to be displayed for the summer.
“We look forward to have you visit our lovely village shortly and don’t forget to share the news with your family and friends!”
