The current mild weather will come to an abrupt end this evening with the Met Office issuing a yellow warning for ice across all of Wales overnight.

Meteorologists warn that they expect icy patches to develop in the early hours of tomorrow morning, with snow affecting some areas.

With the exception of high ground, most places will not see any snow settling.

The warning runs from 10pm this evening until 11am tomorrow morning.

Motorists are being advised to drive with caution on untreated roads tomorrow morning and people are warned to expect some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

The forecast expects scattered showers throughout Thursday, with rain and hill snow arriving Friday, with cloudy skies and some wintry showers Saturday.

More organised rain is likely on Sunday, with hill snow, and overnight frosts expected.
