On 21 January, Aberystwyth Rotary Club hosted the Ceredigion and Carmarthen area final of the Rotary Young Musician Competition.

The winners were singer Bethan Evans and trombonist Rhydian Tiddy.

They will now take part in the Mid and South Wales district final and the winners of those will go on to the Wales, Borders and West Midlands regional final.

The national final will be held in Colchester, Essex, in early May.
