Dave Barrow led Talybont to 207 for 9 when batting first with a fine 66 not out, and Robert Rudge (40) and Mel Jones (35) were the only Aber batsmen to make runs of note in a reply restricted to 161 for 9.
After falling to 30 for 3 wickets, thanks to fine opening spells by Zaid Khan and Gareth Lewis, Talybont recovered well, thanks initially to Vinod Mathew (33) and Philip Abraham, taking it on to 72.
Vinod Mathew eventually holed out from the last ball of Gareth Lewis’s spell.
Anish helped to maintain the run-rate and the loss of Abraham at 116 did little to stem the runs. Dave Barrow played watchfully, until Anish perished to the bowling of Titus Mathew for 29 at 165.
Barrow subsequently marshalled the tail to a fine total of 207 for 9 at the close of the innings, with Barrow 66 not out.
The best of the Aberystwyth bowling came from Zaid Khan, 3-17 from 9 overs.
Aber never really managed to match the run-rate of the visitors and the early loss of Robin Varley and Khan left Mel Jones and Anthony Burrell with a tough task.
Burrell departed for 19 and Rob Rudge and Jones took the score to 92, before Jones was well caught by Joseph Thomas for 35. Further wickets fell and it was left to Tom Williams (25) and Iestyn Evans (12) to strike several lusty blows after the dismissal of Rudge (40) as Aber sought some consolation in a batting point.
Both fell in the chase for runs, and it was left to Gareth Lewis and Titus Mathew to secure that elusive batting point at 160.
Talybont could be pleased with their bowling, Anish returning 2-33, Tibin 1-20, Phil Abraham 1-11 (in 7 overs), Mathew Novak 3-46 and Milton John 2-32.
