The Vorsprung Project delivered two “under-par performances” at the Swansea Bay 10k Race, on Sunday.
Janoš Vranek came 17th in his second fastest time ever, 32 minutes 53 seconds, while Edward Land came 32nd in a new personal best of 34.21.
A Vorsprung Project statement said: “Despite these times impressing local levels, both had poor preparations and their training times suggested Janoš would have been top five and Edward top three (age-category).
“They’ve learnt a lesson: if you drop-off Vorsprung, you will drop in perfomance.
“However, Aber 10k is the next main local race, where we will correct this with big performances from all Vorsprung members.”
