ABERYSTWYTH Town boss Ian Hughes is looking for his side to make the most of home advantage when they take on Carmarthen Town at Park Avenue on Friday (7.45pm).
The Seasiders have picked up just one point - and conceded 12 goals - in their last four games, and they will be eager to get their push for a top six position back on track after dropping down to ninth place in the table.
A much-needed win on Friday evening would lift them above their seventh-placed visitors, and Aber can take heart from the fact that five of their seven matches before the league split are at home.
"There are some good teams in there, so of course every game is so important," said Hughes.
"We’ve just got to make sure that we perform to the best of our abilities, which I’m sure we will do, and if we do that we’ll be in the top six."
The Seasiders won 3-0 in the reverse fixture at Richmond Park in September, and despite only winning one of their six league matches at home so far this season, manager Hughes is hopeful of home points.
"We are hoping for another big home crowd," said Hughes.
"The students have come out in force to support us recently, and we need them again. If the crowd can cheer us on it all helps and adds to the occasion."
Central defender Lee Surman is suspended for the game, but Hughes says he will have no hesitation in moving Sion James across.
"Sion James has probably been our best player of late, I’ve been really impressed with his attitude, and I have no qualms about putting him in as centre back," he said.
"I’m sure he’ll do the club proud, as he has all season."
