LLANILAR Reserves maintained their perfect start to the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League season with a 3-1 victory at Bont on Wednesday evening.

Buoyed by their opening-day win over Machynlleth Reserves, Llanilar started brightly and raced into a commanding lead thanks to first-half goals from Dylan Rogers, Jayden Hopkins and Jamie Dowse.

Joseph Balla pulled a goal back for the hosts six minutes after the restart, but Llanilar remained in control and comfortably saw out the victory.

At Cae Marian, second-half goals from Samson Young and Jack Thomas earned Dolgellau Reserves a comeback win against newly-formed Barmouth & Dyffryn United Development.

The Magpies made an excellent start and took the lead after just two minutes through Leo Green, but Dolgellau responded strongly after the break to secure all three points.

Tywyn Bryncrug Reserves produced a remarkable second-half fightback to defeat Corris United 7-3 in a thrilling encounter at Cae Chwarae Bryncrug.

The visitors appeared in complete control at half-time, leading 3-0 courtesy of a hat-trick from veteran substitute Michael Blackwell.

However, Tywyn turned the game on its head after the interval. Ben Holt matched Blackwell's feat with a hat-trick of his own, while Benjamin Richards bagged a brace and Carrigan Beeson and Lucas Betts also got on the scoresheet in a stunning comeback.

Elsewhere, Padarn United and Borth United shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Borth looked on course for victory after goals from Ashton Bradley-Thomas and Sol Kalani ap Shem had given them a two-goal advantage with 18 minutes remaining.

Padarn refused to give in, though, and substitute Peter Inglis sparked the comeback before Sergei Shostak converted a stoppage-time penalty to earn the hosts a share of the points.
