TYWYN/BRYNCRUG missed out in a seven-goal thriller in the MMP Mid Wales League division one in midweek as visiting Caersws twice hit back to take the spoils with a 4-2 away triumph.
Nick Williams twice put Tywyn ahead from the penalty spot, and Ryan Goddard scored with his first touch, but the hosts were reduced to 10 men when Ethan Rodgers was shown red.
Caersws made sure of the points with goals from Mark Edmondson, Ioan Humphreys, Peter Rees and Rhydian Davies, with a last minute winner.
Montgomery Town then proved to be too strong for Tywyn/Bryncrug last weekend as goals from Jack Williams, Tom Evans and Dewi Hughes earned the home team a solid 3-0 victory.
Bow Street made it four wins from five on Saturday as a last minute winner from new signing Guto Roberts secured a 1-0 win over Builth Wells.
Street had also edged a 1-0 win over Ceredigion rivals Aberaeron at Cae Piod on Wednesday, with Ryan Evans scoring the only goal of the game
Last weekend Andy Evans starred with a hat-trick as Carno returned from Aberaeron as 4-0 winners, with Richie Evans also on the scoresheet.
Carno had notched their first win of the season in midweek with a battling 1-0 away win at Kerry, with Andy Evans netting a first half winner.
Joe Haycock struck twice and Wayne Austin netted once as Berriew recovered from their midweek defeat to Llanidloes Town with a resounding 3-0 win at home to Kerry last weekend.
Llanidloes Town had moved top of the table on Wednesday with a 3-2 win at Berriew, who netted through Charlie Humphreys and Joe Haycock.
After falling behind, Llani hit back with George Clarke glancing in Adam Worton’s knock, before Joshua Hartrick hit a long range screamer for 2-1.
Berriew fought back well in the second half, but Hartrick finally sealed the three points with his second goal.
Llanidloes Town went top of the table on Saturday with a 2-0 victory at home to Llansantffraid, with Dafydd Carruthers and George Clarke goals clinching the spoils for the Daffodils.
Llandrindod Wells, after three straight wins, lost their unbeaten record as they lost 3-0 at Builth Wells, who are level on points with the Daffs.
Gavin Samuel hit the first goal after Tom Bethell’s free kick was fumbled, and from another Bethell free-kick, Jack Hammond rose highest to double their lead with a glancing header.
Builth secured the points when Brad Rollinson delivered a corner, which Chris Roff met with a bullet header.
Ben Simms netted an early goal for Four Crosses against Montgomery Town, who earned a 1-1 draw through Jack Williams’ second half equaliser.
Hay St Mary’s won an end to end Radnorshire derby as a Greg Preece strike and a Jack Biggs penalty earned them a 2-1 win over Radnor Valley, with Joey Price netting a reply for the visitors with a trademark free-kick.
Meanwhile goals by Ricky Litchfield and James Clewlow earned Welshpool a 2-0 win over Llansantffraid, who were still seeking their first points.
Caersws climbed to second place in the table on Saturday, with Peter Rees and Mark Edmonson completing hat-tricks in a 10-1 rout of Hay St Marys.
Elliot Jones, Craig Harris, Dale Evans and Glen Evans goals completed the drubbing, with Matt Tong netting a consolation for the stunned Saints.
Robbie Nicholls netted a late winner as Llandrindod Wells battled to a 2-1 win over Four Crosses, after Kieran McCarley’s opener for the Spa men was cancelled out by Harry Davies.
Welshpool Town made light work of Radnor Valley at Maesydre on Friday evening, as goals from Ricky Litchfield, James Clewlow, Will Thomas and Ian Probert completed a 4-1 win, with Reece Morris getting the reply.
