BALA Town are one of four Dafabet Welsh Premier League clubs to receive an additional cash bonus from UEFA’s Financial Fair Play scheme.
The Welsh Premier League revealed that Bala, Newtown, Airbus and The New Saints have been awarded an additional €11,750 due to other clubs' non-compliance with Financial Fair Play rules during the UEFA Champions and Europa League in the 2015/16 season.
A League statement confirmed: "In line with the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee taken in September 2014, UEFA confirmed that 80 per cent of the amounts withheld due to non-compliance with the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules are distributed to the clubs that played in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League."Unfortunately this didn’t apply to any clubs in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League. However, 20 per cent of the amounts withheld are then distributed to the clubs eliminated during the qualifying stages of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in equal shares."As a result the 2015/16 entrants TNS, Airbus UK, Bala Town and Newtown have all received an additional €11,750."
