BALA Town manager Colin Caton has confirmed his back-room staff for the new 2020/21 JD Cymru Premier campaign.

Stephen Fisher will stay on as assistant manager, Ryan Valentine will continue as first team coach and Harri Lloyd as goalkeeping coach, with Ffiona Evans also staying on as the club’s physiotherapist.

“I’m delighted to be working with Steve again,” said the Lakesiders’ manager.

“We’ve been together for 16 years, and I don’t think there’s another partnership in the League that can match that. Our working relationship has been fantastic.

“We enjoy working together and we push each other. Without Steve, I’d say Bala Town wouldn’t have achieved half as much as we have, so I’m very happy to work with him not just with the football side of things but on a personal note aswell. He’s a top friend of mine.”

Caton added: “Ryan brings so much experience to the team, it’s second to none and we are extremely happy to keep him. Both him and Steve have captained the team over the years, and we always look to recruit within. Both him and Steve have captained Bala Town teams of the past and it’s great to have them on board.

“They have the Club at heart and I’m really looking forward to the new season with the both of them back on board.”

The Lakesiders boss said he was also looking forward to working with talented goalkeeping coach Lloyd and physio Evans - both of whom made a big impression last season.

“Harri is an up and coming goalkeeping coach and I’m looking forward to working with him again. He did a brilliant job with Josh Tibbetts last season and he’ll be working alongside Alex Ramsay and another goalkeeper that will come in. He’s got really good, fresh ideas, he mixes well with the lads, it’s a great coup for us that he’s also chosen to stay on.”

Caton added: “Finally, we have Ffi, and she too is absolutely fantastic. She’s been a breath of fresh air since joining Bala. She works so hard, and especially so during this Covid pandemic, to try and get us back into training and prepping for the Europa League game on 27 August."Ffi’s had a lot of work to take in, with what she has to do, so it’s great to have her on board as well. She’s been with us for a couple of seasons now and I was delighted to see her commit again.

“That’s the coaching staff and the team that’s going to drive us on into what will hopefully be another successful season. I would like to thank them all for committing back to the Club, and I couldn’t wish for a better back-room team. I can’t wait to work alongside them yet again.

“We’re a very close-knit group and we work hard together, and hopefully we achieve the best that we can, just like we did last season” concluded Caton.
