BLAENAU Ffestiniog Amateurs produced a good all-round performance to earn a well-deserved 2-2 draw with Welsh Alliance division two front-runners Glan Conwy.
They were behind as early as the fifth minute as keeper Gethin Jones misjudged a cross by Charley Jones and the ball went into the net.
The keeper made amends with some good saves to keep the scoreline 1-0 at the break, and the hosts then equalised just before the hour mark, with a well-taken effort from Keiron Ellis.
Four minutes later Ashley Boyle scored to put the visitors ahead again, but the home side piled on the pressure and were rewarded when Sion Roberts made it 2-2 with 15 minutes to play.
In the closing stages, the visitors went down to 10 men after a sending off, but they held on for what could be a vital point in their quest for the division two title.
Elsewhere in division two, goals from Liam Morris on 7 minutes, Shaun Momument on 54 and Arwel Williams on 90 earned Gaerwen a 3-0 success at Llanfairpwll, to take their number of league wins into double figures.
Pentraeth twice led through a Dylan Jones penalty on 30 minutes and a Gwyn Hughes goal on 71, but were pegged back to a 2-2 draw with Penmaenmawr Phoenix, who netted through Haydn Griffiths on 55 and Aaron Keily on 87.
Aberffraw’s Andrew Jones netted an injury time equaliser at Y Felinheli, who had scored a seventh-minute penalty through Gruff John.
