BONT hit back to make it five wins on the bounce in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division one as they notched a 2-1 win against Padarn United last weekend.
Despite being down to 10 men for most of the second half, the visitors showed great resolve again to secure the three points, courtesy of two goals from Lee Jones.
First half chances saw Bont’s Lee Jones, Chris Wilkins and Dion Davies all denied by the home keeper, but it was the home side who took the lead 10 minutes into the second half. Robbie Southgate broke into the box, only to be brought down by Sion Jones who was sent off after picking up a second yellow card.
Chris Foster converted the penalty, and the visitors now had to play for almost 40 minutes with just 10 men.
The game became increasingly stretched as Padarn looked to kill it off, and battling Bont tried to hit back.
They were rewarded for their persistence when Lee Jones found space on the edge of the penalty box to fire in low and hard from 20 yards to level the game.
With neither side settling for a point, Paul James went close for Padarn, but both sides felt let down by poor decisions by the referee. One of which resulted in Bont being awarded a free kick, and up stepped Jones to grab his second goal, after the keeper spilled his shot.
Jones found the net again, only to be denied his hat-trick by a decision which surprised both benches.
Llanilar also made it five wins from five matches as they eased to a 6-2 win at Tywyn/Bryncrug Reserves.
Guto Roberts and Ryan Edwards both scored twice for the visitors, with Tom Davies and Shon Morgans also on the scoresheet, whilst Aston Heath netted both goals for the hosts.
Tregaron Turfs notched their fourth successive win as goals from Llyr Davies and Ifan Jones earned them a 2-1 win over Talybont.
Liam Jaques, Andrew Gittins and Dylan Bailey earned Penparcau a 3-2 win over Bow Street Reserves, with Shaun Jones and Matthew Pemberthy replying.
Richard Winchurch scored twice for Machynlleth Reserves as they beat Penrhyncoch Reserves 2-1 at home, with Peter Inglis replying.
In division two, a brace from George Jackson-Townshend earned Dolgellau Reserves a 5-2 win at Aberdyfi. Harri Davies, Mike Worsell and Brian Thomas also scored for the visitors, with Mike Rees and Luke Fox netting for Aberdyfi
