BONT maintained their unbeaten league record to go nine points clear at the top of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth District League division one with a 5-2 win over Padarn United.

Aberystwyth Town legend Glyndwr Hughes netted a brace of goals and Dion Davies, Ben Lewis and Lee Jones also scored as the Tangerines notched their 12th league victory this season.

Paul James and Jason Davies found the net for Padarn, who remain fourth in the table, after their sixth defeat.

Bow Street Reserves moved up to second position in the table as they secured a hard-fought 2-0 win over Borth United Reserves, with Nicky Smith scoring both goals for the Magpies.

Gytis Pivnikas scored twice as Aberystwyth University Reserves climbed the division one table with a 5-2 home success over Penrhyncoch Reserves.

Machynlleth Reserves breezed into the third round of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League Cup with an emphatic 10-2 win over Aberdyfi, with Tom Evans leading the way with four goals.

Rich Winchurch and Alex Jarman both scored twice, and Dion Kohler and Jake Hinge also netted as Machynlleth registered double figures.

Bari Southgate scored twice and Niall Coleridge once as Talybont beat Tregaron Turfs 3-1 in extra-time, despite finishing with only nine men.

Rhun Garner’s goal ensured it was all square at the end of 90 minutes.

In the Second Division Trophy, Chris Wylde scored a hat-trick in Group One as Talybont Reserves notched up an emphatic 9-0 success at Llanon.
