BORTH United Reserves bounced back to winning ways in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League with an excellent 2-0 away win against Aberdyfi.

After back-to-back defeats to Bow Street Reserves and Talybont, Borth tightened things up, and goals from Shaun Tooley and Stephen Bailey secured the points.

Frontrunners Bont maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 5-0 win at Machynlleth Reserves.

A brace from Dewi Siôn Evans and singles by Dion Davies, Andrew Carree and Lee Jones sealed a solid win, to move seven points clear at the top.

With Bow Street Reserves’ match with Penrhyncoch Reserves being postponed, Talybont missed a chance to go second as they lost 4-2 away at Tregaron Turfs.

A brace from Rhun Garner took his scoring tally to 10 goals in six games, with Llyr Davies and Gareth Aled Davies also scoring goals. Talybont replied through Connor Murphy and Jamie Evans from the penalty spot.

Llanilar registered their first win of the season with a 6-2 triumph over Padarn, in a match that had seen both sides have a man sent off.

Peter Bradley and Jack Lawton netted for Llanilar, before two goals from Clive Morgan, including a penalty, and a brace from Ryan Edwards sealed the points. Padarn had replied with two goals from Paul James.

In division two, Ieuan Brooks scored a hat-trick as Dolgellau Reserves beat Aberdyfi Reserves 9-3, with Tommy Redgrift scoring a brace and Sion Redgrift, Sion Williams, Charlie Owen and Darrel Johns scoring goals.

Jac Williams and Chris Wylde scored twice as Talybont Reserves beat Padarn United Reserves 6-0, with Luke Davies and Steve Beresford also scoring goals.

Goals from Tomos Constantine and Sion Gittins earned Llanilar Reserves a 2-2 draw against Llanon.
