BOW STREET Reserves returned to winning ways in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth District League division one as they held firm for a 3-2 win over Llanilar last weekend.

Two goals from Dean Evans and a Dylan James goal earned the Magpies their fifth win of the season.

Llanilar fought back well from being two goals down at the interval, with Ryan Edwards scoring two goals.

Talybont also closed in on league leaders Bont as they had a 4-1 win at Aberystwyth University Reserves.

Having led at the interval through a Connor Murphy goal, they increased their lead early in the second half through Callum Ferreira.

Two further goals from substitute Niall Coleridge made the game safe, before the students scored a consolation with 15 minutes left.

Tregaron Turfs are also flying high after two goals from Rhun Garner and singles from Carwyn Earey and Cerith Davies sealed a comfortable 4-0 home win over Borth United Reserves.

Padarn United were 2-0 winners over Machynlleth Reserves, with a penalty from Paul James and a Steve Jones goal securing the win.

Aberdyfi meanwhile beat Penrhyncoch Reserves 4-2, despite reply goals from Nick Jarvis and Matt Merry.

Talybont Reserves are top of division two after goals from Chris Wylde, Lee Morgan and Darren Thomas earned them a 3-1 home win against Llanilar Reserves.

Aberystwyth University Reserves meanwhile beat Dolgellau Reserves 4-2 at home, despite the reply goals being scored by Mike Worsell and George Jackson-Townshend.
