BOW Street were unable to halt Llanidloes Town’s charge towards the MMP Mid Wales League division one title as goals from Josh Hartrick, Gregg Brown and Gareth Owen sealed a 3-1 triumph for the league leaders on Saturday.

The Daffs will go into the New Year with a 13 point lead over second-placed Builth Wells at the top of the table, albeit having played two more games, whilst Bow Street have dropped to fifth position.

Gregg Brown provided the cross for Hartrick to tap home the opener at Victoria Avenue, but the Magpies equalised through Steffan Richards, before Brown made it 2-1 just a minute before half-time with a great chip from a tight angle.

Bow Street continued to battle well in the second half, but the Daffs secured the points on the hour when Adam Worton’s free-kick was met by Gareth Owen, who scored with a firm header to make it 3-1.
