TYWYN Bryncrug Reserves maintained their unbeaten start to the MMP Central Wales League North season after battling back to earn a 2-2 draw at Machynlleth on Tuesday evening.
The hosts looked to be in control at the break after first-half goals from Alfie Westwood and Iestyn Evans put them firmly in the driving seat at Cae Glas.
However, Tywyn showed plenty of character and finished strongly, with late strikes from David Jenkins and Nick Williams rescuing a deserved point for the visitors.
Early leaders Berriew continued their impressive start to the campaign with a convincing 4-1 home victory over Bishops Castle Town.
Charlie Williams Scott opened the scoring for the hosts on the half-hour mark, but Bishops Castle responded before the interval through Thomas Edwards.
Berriew took complete control after the restart, with Richard Davies stealing the headlines by firing a clinical hat-trick to seal an emphatic win.
Oliver Jansen's goal proved decisive as Welshpool Town edged out Forden United 1-0 in a closely contested encounter.
There were goals aplenty at Llanfyllin Town, where visitors Waterloo Rovers powered to a 7-1 victory.
The hosts made the perfect start when William Davies converted a penalty, but Waterloo levelled on the stroke of half-time through Owain Richards.
The second half was a one-sided affair as the visitors overwhelmed Llanfyllin. Max MacLaughlin led the charge with a hat-trick, while Richards added his second of the evening and Matthew Brasenell and Thomas Ellis also found the net.
Meanwhile, Barmouth & Dyffryn United claimed a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Kerry on Wednesday evening.
Osian Ephraim scored the only goal of the game at Wern Mynach to secure all three points for the hosts.
