BARMOUTH & Dyffryn United came from behind to claim a deserved point against Forden United in their MMP Central Wales North encounter at Wern Mynach on Saturday.

The visitors made a bright start and took the lead after 13 minutes when Jake O'Donnell finished off a move created by Joshua Lenc.

Despite falling behind, the Magpies responded well and enjoyed the lion's share of possession for the remainder of the first half. However, they were unable to turn their dominance into clear-cut chances and went into the break trailing by a single goal.

Adam Morris' side continued to dictate proceedings after the restart and spent much of the second half on the front foot. Their persistence was finally rewarded in the 80th minute when 16-year-old substitute Dewey Wright netted his first goal of the season to bring the hosts level.

Buoyed by the equaliser, Barmouth pushed hard for a winner in the closing stages, but Forden stood firm to ensure the points were shared.

Meanwhile, Llansantffraid Village maintained their unbeaten start to the league campaign with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Kerry Reserves.

The hosts showcased both quality and teamwork, with four different goalscorers and four different assist providers.

Hagi Jikineh opened the scoring after nine minutes before a second goal by Youssef Elazhari gave Llansantffraid a comfortable advantage at the interval. Cameron Lee Bache Jones and Tommy Clarke added further goals to complete the rout.

The assists came from Sergio Gomes, Taimoor Hussain, Huzaif Abubakari and Tyler Davies.

Elsewhere, Berriew also preserved their unbeaten record with a 2-0 home victory over Welshpool Town on Friday evening. Ryan Edwards opened the scoring before an own goal from Nathan Hughes sealed the win.

In the division's other Friday fixtures, Montgomery defeated Caersws Development 3-0, while Waterloo Rovers edged a thrilling contest against Bishops Castle Town 3-2.
