LLANDYSUL were the big winners in the only Costcutter Ceredigion League Premier Division match to survive Storm Boelo, hammering Cardigan Town 10-0 on Saturday.

With much of the weekend programme wiped out by the weather, Dysul took full advantage to climb to fourth place with a dominant display.

The hosts had to settle for a 2-0 lead at the break despite controlling proceedings. James Brown opened the scoring after just six minutes, finishing neatly after combining with Thomas Fayers. Fayers then turned scorer midway through the half, applying the finish after being set up by Noa Lloyd.

With the conditions in their favour after the interval, Llandysul ran riot. Brown completed his hat-trick with two more goals, while Lloyd also grabbed his second of the afternoon.

Harri Wilson and Osian Mason-Evans both struck twice as Cardigan struggled to contain the home side, while Cadog Edwards also got his name on the scoresheet.

In Division One, New Quay claimed a 4-2 home win over Pencader United. Llion Williams gave the visitors the lead on 27 minutes, but goals from Caden Briddon and Kyle Crees turned the game around before half-time.

Alfie Morgan levelled early in the second half, only for Crees to restore New Quay's advantage with his second of the game on the hour. Jessie Hopkins then wrapped up the points late on.
