FOSTRASOL continued their perfect start to the MMP Central Wales League South season with a commanding 6-0 victory at Tregaron Turfs on Saturday to move to the top of the table.

The champions have made an ominous start to their title defence, maintaining their 100 per cent record with another dominant display.

Ffostrasol took control from the outset and opened the scoring after just seven minutes when Bleddyn Jones finished off good work from Dafydd Phillips, who then set up Caio Evans for the second six minutes later.

Phillips capped an excellent first-half performance by getting on the scoresheet himself just before the break.

The visitors showed no signs of easing up after half-time, with Keane Moore, Tomos Green and Tomos Rogers all finding the net to complete an emphatic victory.

Lampeter surrendered top spot after slipping to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Llanilar. Tobias Wilcockson scored the only goal of a closely fought contest in the ninth minute, securing Llanilar's third win from four league outings.

Penrhyncoch Reserves ended a run of three successive defeats by battling to a hard-earned win at Felinfach.

The hosts went ahead through Owain Kersey after good work from Cameron Miles, but the Roosters responded quickly when Eddi Rhodes equalised following a fine contribution from 16-year-old Connor Williams.

Emyr Jones put Penrhyncoch ahead shortly before half-time, although his afternoon took a dramatic turn when he was sent off before the interval. Despite playing the entire second half with 10 men, the visitors defended resolutely to secure all three points.

Bow Street Reserves suffered a 4-1 defeat at Cae Piod.

Nathan Pemberthy had given the Magpies an early lead after 14 minutes, but the hosts responded in impressive fashion. Goals from Oscar Davies, Rae Lewis and Owain Rowlands turned the game around before a Kurtis Dallas own goal completed the scoring.
