BOW STREET dropped out of the top three in the MMP Mid Wales League division one as they were held to a goalless draw by improving Carno at Cae Piod.

The Magpies created enough chances to have won the match, but were frustrated by a resilient defence as honours ended even in the windy conditions.

The draw meant that Llandrindod Wells, with four games in hand, moved above Bow Street on goal difference as they notched a 7-2 away win over Kerry.

Jack Evans, Ryan Sims and Matty Tong all scored twice for the Spa side at Dolforgan Park, with Ashley Jones also getting on the scoresheet, whilst Luke Mumford scored a well-taken brace for the hosts.

Aberaeron travelled to Radnor Valley with just 11 players, but made a welcome return to winning ways with a 1-0 win, with Mattie Davies netting the winner for their sixth league success of the season.

Basement side Llansantffraid finally notched their first league win of the season a 4-1 derby win over Four Crosses, with Nathan Buckley, Kieran Evans, Dale Evans and Nathan Prodger netting goals.

Newbridge took their chance to move within a point of division two leaders Machynlleth as they notched a solid 3-0 win over Borth United at Penbont Field.

Callum Maddy scored either side of the interval to put the home side in control, and Jake Bufton made sure of the three points with his killer third goal late on.

Abermule recorded a welcome 3-1 win at bottom club Knighton Town, with Ricky Davies, Charlie Kinsey and Dave Anthony scoring the goals, whilst Charlie Owen scored the only goal as Dolgellau returned from Churchstoke 1-0 winners.

Dyffryn Banw’s home clash with Aberystwyth University was postponed, along with the scheduled Friday evening match between Machynlleth and Forden United.
