THERE was no change at the top of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth District League division one as leaders Dolgellau registered a 4-0 win over Bow Street Reserves at the Marian.

Goals from David Edwards, Dominic Thomas, Joe Ephraim and Ryan Thomas secured the points, to maintain their four point lead at the top.

Second-placed Talybont meanwhile kept up their pressure with a hard fought 3-1 win against Borth Reserves, but it was the away team who took the lead 20 minutes into the game through Philip Rainbow’s goal.

A headed goal by Callum Pritchard made it 1-1 at the interval, and two clear cut penalties in the last 10 minutes were converted by Paul Keegan and Jac Williams to secure the points.

Llanilar shared the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Tregaron Turfs, with Borislav Trayanov and Dylan Evans on target for the hosts, whilst Nigel Jones and Mel Davies got onto the scoresheet for the Turfs.

Aberdyfi recorded a 2-1 win at Penrhyncoch Reserves, who replied through Nick Jarvis, and Penparcau beat Machynlleth Reserves 2-1 away.

In division two, Padarn Reserves beat Llanon 8-1, with two goals each by Paul Vaughan and Graham Thomas putting them 4-0 up at the break.

Llanon managed a reply, but Padarn scored further goals by Tegid Owen, Llyr Evans, Ian Lee and Ciaran Phillips, netting against his former team.

In the Second Division Trophy, goals from Richard Winchurch and Adam Winchurch earned Aberdyfi Reserves a 2-1 win over Llanilar Reserves, who replied through Fergus Pitcher.
