TREGARON Turfs marched on into the next round of the Dai ‘Dynamo’ Davies Memorial Cup with a comfortable 5-0 win away at Padarn United.
Ifan Jones and Cerith Davies both scored twice, with Ryan Hurrell also finding the net as the Turfs put themselves in the hat for the quarter-finals.
Chris Morgan scored a hat-trick as St Dogmaels eased into the last eight with a 7-0 win over Felinfach, with Rhys Jones, Aled Rees, Adam Williams and Louis Harding also scoring.
Maesglas were outclassed by Crannog at Maes Radley in a 15-0 hammering, with Eifion Jones bagging four goals for the Llangrannog outfit.
Two of the best goals were produced by debutant 16 year-old Gruff Thomas, who was impressive throughout.
There were also two apiece for Brynley Morris, George Colven, Gruff Thomas and Gary Davies. Huw Owen and an own goal completed the rout.
Shaun Jones and Neil Davies both scored twice as Bow Street Reserves registered a 4-1 win over Costcutter Ceredigion League side Llanboidy.
Talybont booked a place in the second round of the Cambrian Tyres League Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 away win at Penrhyncoch Reserves.
Trailing to Stephen Hughes’ goal until the final 15 minutes of the game, strikes from Clint Middleton and Luke Davies gave them a deserved passage.
Dominic Thomas and Darryn Jones meanwhile earned Dolgellau Reserves a 2-1 win over Penrhyncoch Thirds, with Ben Dimmack replying, and Borth United Reserves came from behind to beat Aberystwyth University Reserves 3-1, courtesy of James Graham, with a brace, and Steve Bailey.
In division two, Josh Taylor scored four goals as Aberdyfi beat Llanilar Reserves 6-3, with Richard Winchurch and an own goal sealing the away win.
